Let’s Fund It approached Mid West Simon by email to offer help through a donation. Let’s Fund It was contacted by Jackie Leonard,the Head of Communications and Fundraising for Mid West Simon Community.
Jackie mentioned that they were currently looking for sports equipment and a games table for service users at their Clare Street Hostel in Limerick. She went onto explain how it is so important that all the residents and their families have some form of recreation to live comfortably and keep fit while staying at their facility and went on to mention that these items would be a great support.
With this information Let’s Fund It then set out to source the following requested items:
Let’s Fund It purchased these from Decathlon and HiFiTower. The delivery was completed by Let’s Fund it on Saturday, 28th of May 2022. Let’s Fund It visited the Simon Hostel in Limerick and met with both staff & residents who were very grateful for the new additions to their recreation room. This in turn gave us a great insight into the work that they do and how our donation will be used.
The LFI team is incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this donation happen and it was a pleasure to work with the Mid West Simon Community.
The total cost of this donation was €448.89.
Gort Cancer Support was established in June 2007 to provide support and practical assistance to people affected by a cancer diagnosis in the South Galway/North Clare area.
St. Gabriel’s provides services to children with disabilities and their families through two Children’s Disability Network Teams (Treehouse and South City), Hydrotherapy, Orthotics and a purpose-built state of the art Children’s Respite House in Mungret.
