Haven Hub

The Haven Hub is a non-profit organisation that gives peer support and advocates for people in distress or at risk of suicide. We do this by empowering the service user in making the links necessary in their recovery to wellness. We extend help from our suicide prevention trained volunteers to develop an agreed safety plan if they are at risk of suicide.

Let’s Fund It contacted HavenHub by email to offer help through a donation. Let’s Fund It was contacted by Leona O’Callaghan fundraising coordinator for Haven Hub Limerick.

Leona went on to say they provide free courses such as WRAP (wellness recovery action planning), Decider Skills, Mental Health First Aid etc to communities. And mentioned they’re need for help to be able to purchase books for vulnerable people attending these courses. Knowing the importance of these courses for improving mental health among young people.

With this information Let’s Fund It then set out to source 30 WRAP Decider Skills books

Let’s Fund It purchased these from Amazon. The delivery was completed by Let’s Fund it on Saturday, 13th of Aug 2022. Let’s Fund It visited the Havan Hub in Limerick and met with voluteers who were very grateful for the donation of vital tools to help people during the wellness courses. This in turn gave us a great insight into the work that they do and how our donation will be used.

The LFI team is incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this donation happen and it was a pleasure to work with Haven Hub Limerick.

The total cost of this donation was €331.21.
