Let\u2019s Fund It were greeted by Gillian McNamee who was grateful for the offer of help. She requested hospital care backpacks and began compiling a list of items to be included in the backpacks for Let\u2019s Fund It to source. The full list contained sensory art, neck pillows, headphones, book light, ginger chews, portable mini fans and many other useful items for the patients who deal with Hand in Hand.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lets\u2019s Fund It set about sourcing these items and were able to source the following items to fill each of the 50 bags:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Handheld fans.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Colouring Books.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Colouring Pencils<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Neck Pillows.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Toothbrush Holders.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Over the Shoulder Bags.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ginger Chews.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Touchable Bubbles.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Multiple toys.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A very special thank you to the following companies for their generous contribution to this donation, without them this donation would not have been possible.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>McTivities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for donating fun toys such as Touchable Bubbles, Creeblers &amp; Swirly Squish Balls (150 items!)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Little Green<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for donating a range of hypoallergenic shampoos.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;<\/span><b>Evergreen Healthfoods<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> donated Ginger Gin Gins<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Flying Tiger Ireland<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> generously offering Let\u2019s Fund It with a 20% discount on all items bought for this donation at their Limerick store.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lastly a huge and special thank you to the parents of the late Labhaoise Fitzgerald. Labhaoise sadly passed away on the 5th of January 2021 at the age of 17 after a long battle with cancer. Labhaoise&#8217;s parents donated 100 books from her beloved daughters collection. These books will be given to the service-users of Hand in Hand and were included in the hospital care bags for the children to read and enjoy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This delivery was completed on Saturday 7<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of May to Hand in Hand in Loughrea Galway.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The total cost of this donation amounted to \u20ac785.45, Let\u2019s Fund It\u2019s largest donation to date!<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hand in Hand is a non-profit organisation which provides the families of children with cancer with much-needed practical support.
