Kerry Hospice Foundation
The Kerry Hospice Foundation (KHF) is a voluntary organisation to help provide funding and support for palliative care services in Kerry. The mission of the Kerry Hospice Foundation is to help fund, in partnership with the HSE, the provision of Specialist Palliative Care Services which support patients who are living with an advancing illness in Kerry.

Let’s Fund It approached Kerry Hospice Foundation by email to offer help through a donation. Let’s Fund It was contacted by Evelyn Doody as well as Mary Shanahan, the Secretary of Kerry Hospice Foundation.
They explained their need to purchase handheld fans and pyjamas for their patients so Let’s Fund It set to work organising the sourcing and supply of these products. A budget of €400 was set.
Let’s Fund It purchased 102 fans from Mountain Warehouse with a kind discount of 15%. Another 30 fans were purchased from Halfords with a generous 10% discount, bringing the amount of fans to 132. Let’s Fund It are very grateful to both suppliers for the support with this donation. Let’s Fund It also purchased 14 set of mens and womens pyjamas from Penneys as part of their donation to Kerry Hospice Foundation.
The delivery was completed by Let’s Fund it on Friday, 30th of June 2022. Let’s Fund It visited the Kerry Hospice Foundation at their site in Univeristy Hospital Kerry, Tralee. We met with Mary Shanahan who spoke to Let’s Fund It about the work the hospice carries out and the support they offer to patients. Mary was very grateful for the new fans and pyjamas and explained how they would be used to make patients comfortable during their stay.
The LFI team is incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this donation happen and it was a pleasure to work with The Kerry Hospice Foundation.
The total cost of this donation was €409.92.
